After discovering a passion for music growing up in Ontario, Jef became an avid record collector locked into the nocturnal pulse of Detroit's electronic music scene. He started DJing while at university but his music career took off in Hong Kong during the mid-nineties when he landed the position of resident DJ at the legendary Club 97. It was during this halcyon period that he opened for a stellar line-up of legendary DJs including Norman Jay, Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Little Louie Vega and Dmitri from Paris.
He went on to play as a guest DJ at numerous club nights in cities across Asia including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Bangkok, Singapore and Tokyo. He began working with Musicstyling in 2010, progressing to a role as Senior Music Consultant with the company before becoming Creative Director for Asia in 2015.
In his current role Jef works with a team of talented consultants and music curators that collectively manage a portfolio of luxury hospitality brands in a dynamic and rapidly burgeoning market. He spends a great deal of time travelling, checking in with existing clients to help evolve their brand sound and continuing to develop new opportunities as the business expands throughout Asia.
