Pete Herbert

UK based DJ, producer and remixer, Pete’s musical career spans the last two decades since he set up and co-ran the infamous Atlas Records Shop in Soho in the early nineties. As a DJ Pete has worked dance floors all over the world, joining the dots musically with his unique style taking in Disco, Balearic, House and all their mutations. He's also known for soundtracking sunsets and more laid-back affairs via Music for Swimming Pools, his record label and long running radio show on Ibiza Sonica.

Growing up in London Pete played at many of the seminal dance institutions in his home city such as Fabric, Ministry Of Sound, 333, The Blue Note and Sancho Panza at Notting Hill Carnival. He plays regularly at international events like Electric Elephant and Garden Festival in Croatia, Mareh in Brazil and UK events such as Lovebox, Festival No.6, Corona Sunsets, Masked Ball and Campo Sancho.

Going further afield, Pete has travelled extensively around the globe, taking in numerous DJ tours of the US, Mexico, South America, Asia, China, Japan, South Korea and Australia, as well as returning regularly to the clubs in Madrid, Paris, Moscow and Berlin. In recent years Pete spends time during the winter months based in Bali and is the current Music Director for Potato Head Beach Club. He also plays regularly in nearby spots like Jakarta, Cambodia, Vietnam and Singapore.

Over the last decade Pete has forged a close alliance with Dicky Trisco, head honcho at Disco Deviance and their infamous DJ sets, playing back to back and all night along, regularly set dancefloors alight around the globe. When not DJing Pete can be found in the studio working on various music projects. As a solo artist Pete has released on countless labels including La Dame Noir, Mareh, Retrofit, Tirk as well as notching up over 200 remixes for artists including Röyksopp, Roots Manuva,Danielle Baldelli, Ilija Rudman, The Glimmers, Bottin, Faze Action and Tensnake.

Reverso 68 and Frontera are the studio based projects of Pete and Phil Mison aka Cantoma. They’ve released singles on Eskimo Recordings and Is it Balearic? as well as over 30 remixes for the likes of Grace Jones, Badly Drawn Boy, Bent, Who Made Who, Tosca, Templehof, Bawrut and The Two Mamarrachos.
